Any quote longer than two lines of your paper needs to be set off from the paper by identing five spaces on both sides. Otherwise, the reader may lose track of where the quote begins and ends.
The quote may be double or single spaced. Both conventions are followed.
Quotation marks are not used, and the parentheses are outside of the punctuation. No period follows the parentheses.
