Novel Quiz ~ Analysis and Recall

 

1.   
Identify your protagonist by name and list his/her key characteristics.  Explain what he/she values most and he/she hopes to achieve or overcome.

 


2.    Describe one key setting in the novel.  Be as specific as possible, noting the characteristics of the geographic location, the cultural presence, the approximate date, and the time of season. (Yes, there may have been more than one season, but choose and describe one.)

 

3.    Identify the antagonistic forces working against your protagonist.  Explain the source and, thus far, the success of those forces. 

 

4.    Choose one object or item in the story that may be acting as a symbol, and explain how this object symbolizes something significant but unseen. 

 

5.    Choose a character that is not the protagonist or the antagonist.  Describe the character fully, mention events in which he/she has taken a part, and decide why the character is in the novel and whether the character is flat, round, dynamic, or static.
